My Career
From hospitality companies to big brands, how my background has helped evolve my style
2015- 2022
Moved to Hong Kong in mid 2014. Had a few months to acclimate and enjoy the culture and sights. My first job was as lead visual designer at Manulife. From 2017 to 2019, I earned my User Analyst Certification from HFI and I was Senior UX Designer at Sun Life Financial where I lead the design and digital transformation of Sun Life advisor tools. My last position in Hong Kong was Head of UX/UI at Lidl Asia. Our new adventure takes us to London.
2009-2014
Starting as senior designer at a consumer products company and leading to my first large corporate position at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston with stops at a few boutique agencies in between, I learned how to work in larger, more structured teams. At this point, the majority of my work was in the digital space
Early Career
Worked mainly as a print designer creating direct response pieces and corporate collateral. Spent time with a hospitality company which honed my skills of creating an emotional connection between our product and our customers. I also worked with a direct response agency which introduced me to response analysis and tracking
University
BA from Massachusetts College of Art, majored in Graphic Design with a minor in Advertising. Learned all the basics of visual design such as composition, color theory and typography. The advertising minor taught me valuable skills like copywriting and customer data research and targeting.
